Everyone’s talking about George W.’s Middle East peace conference in Annapolis which aims to “an independent democratic viable Palestinian state” by the end of the President’s term in 2009. Yeah, right.
Even though this conference is a positive step — it is, after all the first multi-national effort to ‘resolve’ the Arab-Israeli conflict in since Oslo [...]
I’m in two minds about last night’s election result. I’m not overly un-happy that the ALP got in, but I am very disappointed that Kevin Rudd happens to be in charge at the moment, and will become Australia’s 26th prime minister.
I didn’t think it was time for a change, but I do agree with some, [...]
The Age reports today that a paintball facility had been proposed to be built near Melbourne Airport but has been rejected by VCAT because it “could in effect become a Trojan horse for a terrorist or group of terrorists.”
Seriously, let’s think about this: Just as building a paintball park near the airport poses great security [...]

Lest we forget.
Hamas, now in control in Gaza, apparently wants to build its own Hollywood in Gaza City at the massive cost of £100 million ($225 million Australian dollars)!
The idea comes at a time when the Gaza economy has ground to a standstill and its people are struggling to feed themselves because of Israeli and international sanctions [...]
Ben Lee’s new album “Ripe” has caught me by surprise. I mean, wow! Usually I find Ben Lee too ‘poppy’, but this is a really, really nice easy-to-listen-to album. I’m particularly fond of the lyrics from “Love Me Like The World Is Ending” and the rhythm and overall feel of “Numb”. “Hungry” also rates highly.
It’s [...]
Only fifteen minutes before the Victoria Derby yesterday I decided to open an online TAB account and put some money on Kibbutz. Yeah, that’s right, there was a horse running called Kibbutz! He was one of the favourites, but just before the race no one wanted to top him in the top 3. I figured [...]
